In America, a watershed refers to the region or area drained by a river, stream, etc.; drainage area. These drainage areas can be broken down into smaller drainage areas in a hierarchy known as sub-watersheds, honing down to the headwaters of small streams. Everyone, everywhere lives within a watershed of some type.
Several years ago, scientists coined the term “Watershed Tea” to represent the unique blend of liquid water, sediment, suspended particles and organisms flowing through our streams and rivers. The flora and fauna within each watershed region is unique and thus the liquid that drains within each waterway is a unique blend of these elements.
We’ve taken the term “Watershed Tea” in a more literal sense to foster a connection between people and the watersheds they live within. With Watershed Teas, we produce unique blends of beautiful aromatic teas, made exclusively from plants found in respective watersheds. Start sipping on your watershed!
